Constance is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor with experience providing therapy to children, adolescents and adults in various treatment settings. She has provided services to individuals with many struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral health issues, family problems, adjustment disorders and many of the other challenges of life. She is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive treatment to all individuals in need.
Constance prefers to take a collaborative approach with clients allowing them some autonomy to work through their issues. She believes that empathy, unconditional positive regard and support should act as the foundation of any therapeutic relationship. The basis of her theoretical approach is person centered therapy while utilizing ideologies and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). She also uses Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) with children with trauma issues. She believes in acting as a guide to her clients guiding them as they navigate through their issues. She focuses on the client’s strengths while encouraging, supporting, challenging and even confronting them when necessary.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends during her free time and making sure to practice self-care. She believes that as a therapist/healer one must appropriately manage their own mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health in an effort to best guide their clients in their personal journey to healing.
